Friday Pioneer Sparkle Day

Yesterday we celebrated Pioneer Day. We are given this day to reflect upon our heritage and the sacrifices all of our loved ones made before us. I feel truly blessed as I think of all that they did for me. Not just those that left country, family, and fought in the different wars for the freedoms of today, but to my parents and my husband's parents who have also sacrificed much to make us who we are. As I sat pondering on this yesterday morning I had a visit from my visiting teachers. Bianca, arrayed in her pioneer costume at 9:30 in the morning brought a smile to their faces. They asked, "Oh are you doing anything special today?" Bianca simply replied in the negative and stated that it was Pioneer Day so she wanted to dress up. This widened the smiles even more. This also made Mom's heart smile big as I realized again that my children are so awesome! I then reflected on how this must have come about. So, I wanted to take you on a pictorial analysis of the workings of my brain.

First, I thought, maybe it is the influence of friends. Hmmm... let's see.... Chem 106, chemicals, Kami ...

Then I thought back further and thought, "No, maybe the influence of some certain cousins" ...

No, that can't be because it is something in my family as well ...

Ah-Ha! That's it. It's something that is definitely inherited...

So one day when "Scuba Girl"...

Met "Scuba Boy" ...

There became the "Scuba Duo" ...

First there was love, then there was marriage, then Bianca in the baby carriage (it starts at such a young age)...

And it only gets better ...

And if you ask why it's particularly potent in our family, this is where Paul is coming from ...

So, there you have it. The secret of YOUR family history if you're related in any way to us! And just the other day we were working in the yard like normal people and who comes to help? Can you guess? ...

Well, you never can be too ready for whatever may happen around here!

I hope this scientific genetic discovery is a big enlightenment to you all. Most of you knew something was up many years ago. And for those of you marrying into the family, I just have to say to "Go with it" and go out and buy yourself something fun to go with us all.

Love,
Candace
