Update

Yesterday was my 30 week checkup. Only 10 more weeks to go! All is going well and my third trimester tests all came out great. I am measuring right at 30 weeks and baby is about 3 lbs. now. Dr. Glenn said the baby should be gaining a pound now every 2 weeks. He also said that she was head down, but at 30 weeks she probably won't stay that way until she gets really cramped towards the end. I get to come in every two weeks now until week 36 where I will start coming in every week. We are still looking for that "right" name. Last night during scriptures the baby was kicking quite a bit and Annmarie and Bianca were able to feel the kicks real good. They are getting excited. She really is a calm baby with her moving hours pretty consistent. I think my favorite thing this week has been Christian's prayers. The past few days when he prays he asks Heavenly Father to make sure the baby is "having a good time in Mommy's belly and that the baby will be safe inside." A couple mornings ago Christian woke up early and had some just Dad and him time together. He explained to Paul that he wanted to make sure the baby was safe and thought it would be a good idea if he said that in his prayers from now on. He is the sweetest boy ever!

Other than that we seem to be busy. Last week the boys had a Boy Night Out and the girls decided to do the same. Orem High was having their last wrestling match of the season and a young man in our ward is on the team. Paul has been encouraging him to be tough and thought it would be fun to take the boys and see the match. He has a lot to say about this and it made me wish all the Jones boys could have been here to discuss it together. I'll let him send the recap. The girls had a nice dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory and then we needed to find Bianca's friend a birthday present. Bianca wanted to go in the mall to do the shopping. Oh, no, not mall shopping already! We went to an earring shop (Claire's) and found some fun things. Bianca got some new earrings and Annmarie really wanted some nail polish so I talked her into the only non-overly-bright light pink with sparkles-in-it polish. Then after all the walking we came home and painted nails. Go girl power!

Another sweet moment was when we were getting ready for prayers last night. The kids were in the "giggle mode" and then one of them flatulated which started the giggles anew. Paul and I were trying to keep straight faces, being the big grown-ups we are, and calm them down before prayers. Amongst one of the outburst of giggles while trying to compose themselves Christian said to Cannon "I think we are connected." Meaning that they were so much alike. They definitely feed off each other! I lost my composure then and I think Paul cracked a smile. He was a lot more tired than I was though! Soon, we had prayer and sent them off to bed. I mentioned to Paul that we were just following in the Jones tradition of family prayer. He could exclaim something like Sarah once did, "I haven't slept in 12 hours!" (Not sure if I got that quote quite right.) For him he would be going on 15 hours not to count the other 2 hours past the kids bedtime for "our time!"

Also, last night I looked out the back windows and had the surprise of having 2 deer in our backyard. We had rain for most of Friday and Saturday which melted some of the snow. We even saw part of the sandbox for a short time. Then it snowed on Sunday and we have snow again. Bianca made a little snowman with the little bit of snow.

Love ya,
Candace
