The other day Christian really wanted to play the computer. Paul asked him, "Can't you think of anything funner than playing computer?" His reply after a thoughtful pause... "Homework!" So, we got out the older kid's summer workbooks and he sat down and started having so much "fun."
A couple days later as we were getting homework out to do I looked in Christian's backpack and found a large stack of blank worksheets. I asked Christian about them and he told me they were all the extra homework sheets that his teacher puts in a big pile after she distributes them. He then asked her if he could have them. He again had so much fun with his extra fun-filled homework.
Now I am definitely a proponent of educating my children's minds, but I guess I am going to have to step it up a notch!
