Signs that the end is near...

No, this isn't a discourse on the second coming of Christ, BUT it is the somewhat, coherent ramblings of a pregnant lady nearing the end! I have almost 3 weeks left to go and I thought I would share some of the signs that I know means I am getting closer... closer to meeting this little wiggle worm, although she has been quite the mild traveler compared to some of her older siblings. Just me and her. Together for now. Soon she will brave the world and bask in its many wondrous gifts; its beauty, its sounds, its smells, its touches. And I get to be the one to introduce her to it all. She's all mine... for awhile longer... Just me and her.

So here are those signs that I mentioned and they reoccur on most days...

1. When entering the family room any occupant who is in the "green chair" quickly hands over the throne to me. Sometimes the children even have the heating pad already warming for me. :) They are so thoughtful!
2. How many times does food bounce before it hits the floor after falling from my fork or plate or mouth? It's a fun game, you should try it. Although the washing machine isn't sure if it can keep up!
3. My name is officially on the top of the Relief Society President's "next" list. That other girl that was due the same time as me decided I should get the spotlight for three weeks all by myself. Okay, so you don't really need a spotlight to spot who the "next" one in line is. Pick me! Pick me!
4. My oh, so comfy pregnancy overalls special buttons can't button all the way anymore.
5. Sneezing. Again, the washing machine is having a hard time keeping up.
6. Did I mention that all my unmentionables have to be washed every 3 days because I refuse to go buy more for the next 3 weeks.
7. Wiping. I won't embarrass you with that. Whoops!
8. Sweeping. That is a big deal around here. When it happens every 2 to 3 days, the "crumb nazi" goes on patrol.
9. Annmarie mentioned last night, "You don't have a lap." I am glad she just mentioned it. That one has some good manners in her.
10. Lately, my dreams are all about going to the hospital.
11. The side profile in the mirror really is unbelievable. Every time. You think with #5 it would be old news. It really is still unbelievable.
12. Speaking of unbelievable, is the sweet talk that still pours forth from my Paul. I guess that is why we can have 5 children, I can still look at that side profile, and feel like the most happy, wonderful person in the world!
13. There was more, but I am sure I forgot them. Like Bianca's gymnastics this week. And that other thing that luckily I can't remember now!

But, we are excited! Annmarie mentions everyday that she can't wait for the baby to come out. Me too, but I'll let her get nice and ready so I can introduce her into a world where there is so much wonderful things to discover. And I will even be able to bend down and show her those things too.

Love,
Candace
