Week 38 out of 40... wahoo!

I looked out the window and what did I see? Popcorn popping on the apricot tree...

It feels like spring around here and even the trees and bushes are thinking so. Here is a picture of our apricot tree this morning. Hopefully it doesn't snow and we will get apricots this year. Last year the birds were too fast for us. We will have to net the apricot and cherry trees this year to keep the birds away.

Some things that happened this week...
Monday morning (Mar. 16) I had my checkup. I am dilated to a 1 1/2. Dr. Glenn said it could be near, but we will see. He said if I was dilated more at 39 weeks he could induce. So many decisions! That would make it the week of March 30th, so we will see.

Tuesday morning Paul awoke without his shirt on, the milk was green for cereal, and we enjoyed a green dinner... green rice, green jello, green OJ, and some leftover stroganoff that luckily was not green. We have an idea of how the green stuff came about, but we are still puzzled about Paul's shirt. Maybe there really are leprechauns?

The rest of the week was dedicated to getting everything taken care of. I had sharing time today and wanted to get my bases all covered--just in case. We have a Primary quarterly activity on the 31st. Friday morning I awoke around 4 am with lots of pressure, discomfort, and some hard contractions, although they were still not consistent. They lasted until almost 9am and then tapered off.

Friday night we went to a BYU Womens Gymnastics meet. Bianca's gym paid for all the families to go so their students could see a real competition. They were competing against their rivals, the University of Utah, and it was the last meet of the season. I won a t-shirt and my belly got on camera. The kids took many trips to the drinking fountain as we couldn't bring ourselves to buy $3 water bottles. We already made the mistake of not feeding them before and had to pay $3 for the hot dogs. Just as the kids all left for a water fountain trip the camera man turned the camera on the lady in front of me just as I was shoving food in my mouth. Luckily you couldn't see my face, but everyone in our group recognized my shirt and cheered. I wiggled my belly for them all. It was a tad bit embarrassing... as much as I let myself get embarrassed!

Paul was Super Working Man yesterday. He got out the car seat, swing, and bouncer and washed all the covers. Annmarie was busy inspecting all the new items and her Baby Payton had to try them out. The kids all pitched in for a good Saturday cleaning. Paul trimmed the trees/bushes and sprayed. Paul and Christian had their first soccer practice. Bianca had a make-up gymnastics class. After Annmarie's nap Paul took the 4 kids to the park and they played kickball. After all 4 cried at one time or another Paul decided it was time to take them home. We watched Beverley Hills Chihuahua... the kids enjoyed it, but it was REALLY cheesy. Talking dogs just doesn't appeal to Paul and I am beginning to agree.

This morning we had a 2 hour block church. Our stake gets to participate in the Draper Temple Open House. Something special that they mentioned is that our chapel and the stake center were literally set apart to be part of the temple and that it will be rededicated as a chapel afterwards. We combined our junior and senior primaries and I was able to do sharing time today. The children were so well behaved and it went really well.

I think that is all for now!

Love,
Candace and Clan

So, is that popcorn on the apricot tree?
